On November 10, 2016 Brother Roy Tennant, ROH celebrated 66 years as an active Buffalo. This is a record for the Grand Lodge of BC and possibly all of the RAOB.
Even after 66 years this good Brother is still very active. The picture above shows Brother Roy placing a wreath at the cenotaph on behalf of Happy Valley Lodge.
Remembrance Day is very special to Brother Roy. He served in Italy during WW2 and he always takes the time on Remembrance Day to remember his fallen comrades. A few of us try and join him on this special day.
The son of the Colonel that Brother Roy served under has recently started holding reunions for soldiers that served with his father. Brother Roy attends these reunions when able. On one occasion the Colonel's son presented Brother Roy with the hat that the Colonel himself had worn during the war. Brother Roy now wears this hat with pride on Remembrance Day (see picture)
