The Grand Lodge of BC was held in the Lodge Rooms of Happy Valley Lodge #5 on the weekend of April 25-27. The weekend started with a meet and greet in the Lodge Rooms Friday night. There was a good turn out of Brothers from Nanaimo and Medicine Hat as well as local Brothers.
Saturday started with the meeting of Knight's Chapter #1 which included an initiation of Brother Brad Morgan, R.O.H. and the installation of the Knight's President, Brother Jason Gill, K.O.M. (at that time).
After the Knight's Chapter meeting was closed there was a short break and then the Host Lodge, Happy Valley Lodge #5 held a Lodge meeting. Highlights of the meeting was the Exaltation to the Fourth Degree of Brother Jason Gill, R.O.H. and a regalia visit from the Brothers of Thunderbird Lodge #19.
Following the Minor Lodge meeting we had a short break and then we sat down to a catered dinner of Lasagna, salad, and garlic toast, with a delicious fruit crumble for dessert.
Sunday Started with a meeting of the Sir Roy Tennant R.O.H. Assembly #1. This meeting included the initiation of Brothers Jason Gill, R.O.H., Dan Harper, R.O.H. and Brad Morgan, R.O.H. Then Brother Derrek Hutchings, R.O.H. was installed as the Chapter President. Also, it was discovered that the founding members hadn't received their membership cards. This matter was quickly rectified by the Assembly Secretary.
Finally, Sunday afternoon the meeting of the Grand Lodge of B.C. was held. The highlight of the meeting was the installation of the new Grand Primo, Brother Sam Thornhill, R.O.H. Also, Brother Ian Howes, R.O.H. was presented with the Sir Walter Dawe Regalia.
Following the meeting Brothers were treated to sandwiches before they headed home. All in all a good time was had by all and everyone went home tired but happy.
